WALKER!Let&amp;#39;s send the Walkers off with love and appreciation for the past 8 years of service to Bethlehem Lutheran Church and Childcare. We&amp;rsquo;ll begin collecting notes/cards of appreciation in our black care boxes at both campuses this Sunday. Please also join us on&amp;nbsp;Sunday, June 7th&amp;nbsp;for a cake reception following the 9:30 a.m. service in Germantown. Mr. Walker will begin his new role in July as the Director of Staff Ministry at Martin Luther College in July. God&amp;#39;s Blessings, Mr. &amp;amp; Mrs. Walker!&amp;nbsp;A HUGE BLAZER DASH THANK YOU!Thank you to everyone who participated in this year&amp;#39;s Blazer Dash. It was a huge success. We had 300 registrants overall and raised nearly $14,000. An update regarding Soles for Jesus will also be given in the next week or two. We greatly appreciate the generous donations. A huge thank you to all of the countless volunteers and all of the support from the church, school, and childcare. This event could not be possible without all of your time and service. A big shout out also goes to the Germantown Public Library for the Enchanted Library and the Germantown Fire Department for their involvement as well. We look forward to seeing you again in 2028! BLAZER DASH - SOLES FOR JESUSThank you to everyone who donated shoes for Soles for Jesus. A total of&amp;nbsp;325 pairs of shoes&amp;nbsp;were dropped off this week.&amp;nbsp;Soles For Jesus exists to share the love of Christ by distributing shoes to the underserved in sub-Saharan Africa. We appreciate everyone&amp;nbsp;who supported this mission, and thank you for your generosity!&amp;nbsp;CHURCH OFFICE SUMMER HOURS &amp;ndash; Please be aware that with the end of the BLS school year, the church office hours will also be changing. The summer office hours of Mon &amp;ndash; Thurs, 8am -2 pm will begin in June. This is our final series&amp;nbsp;of the year entitled &amp;quot;The Church in Action.&amp;quot; For four weeks, Bethlehem pastors will lead us through a study of important&amp;nbsp;New Testament passages emphasizing especially&amp;nbsp;important aspects of what it means to &amp;quot;Be the&amp;nbsp;Church.&amp;quot; This week, we&amp;#39;ll be looking at Acts 4:23-37 discussing how &amp;quot;The Church Cares for One Other.&amp;quot; Please join us! RETIREMENT CELEBRATION &amp;ndash; Please join us for the Retirement&amp;nbsp;Celebration of Mr. Daryl Weber and Mrs. Beth Rippel on Sunday, May 17th at the Germantown campus. Following the worship service at 9:30 a.m., a luncheon will be held in the Fellowship Hall.Starting May 1st, cards of appreciation for these two faithful staff members may be dropped off in the specially marked boxes at both campus locations. Mission projects selected for this year are Home Mission: Children and Family Ministry Outreach &amp;amp; World Mission: Portugal. Mission projects selected for this year are Home Mission: Children and Family Ministry Outreach &amp;amp; World Mission: Portugal.                 <description><![CDATA[Lutheran Women&amp;#39;s Missionary Society is holding its spring rally April 24, 2021 at David&amp;#39;s Star Lutheran Church in Jackson. The rally will be in-person and streamed; however, no breakfast or refreshments will be served. &amp;nbsp;There will be a number of topics:Pastor Paul Prange will talk about Vietnam.Befriend a Mission (BAM) is focusing on Pastor Dan Heiderich at Good News in Levi, Utah. He and his family have been in Levi for four years after starting a new church. Attendance is now 25-30 each Sunday in an area that is 90% Latter Day Saings (formerly referred to as Mormon.)Pastor John Hartman and his family have been in Africa for 27 years. One Africa Team-Zambia planned to have more in-person training in Liberia and Uganda, but the pandemic changed that to online training.Central Africa Medical Mission (CAMM) is celebrating 60 years of service to the people of Africa. There&amp;#39;s a shorter service at 12:10pm (perfect over the lunch hour) as well as 6:30pm.Due to Covid-19 restrictions in the city of Milwaukee, face masks are required for attendees ages 5 and up. There is also a maximum capacity of 125 guests.
