TEAM OLYMPICS!
Putting a positive spin on it, last Friday’s Team Olympics was “a bit damp” for a one hour outside session in the morning! But after re-arranging the schedule and waiting for the rain to stop . . . the majority of the day was an excellent, dry, fun-filled experience for our first through eighth graders. Many thanks to ALL the parent volunteers who stood outside in the rain in the AM and helped with the full day of activities (running events, supervising students, keeping scores, etc.).
And Congratulations to the Retro Rockets & Miss Glodowski for their winning performance!THANK YOU, THANK YOU!
Last week was “Teacher Appreciation Week” at Bethlehem. The faculty/staff were showered with creativity, kindness and generosity. We enjoyed delicious breakfast and lunch, an in-school massage, and a very generous end of week gift and raffles. We know that many helped in this effort with time, talent, and treasure. Sincerely, we say “Thank You.”
We are so thankful and privileged to serve in a place such as this . . . where we can work with supportive parents in the vital ministry of quality, Christian education. We are truly appreciative for all your kindness and support as shown so clearly this past week and throughout the whole year. Certainly we “stand united” as we work to train and educate these precious youth.APPRECIATION WEEK RECAP
We are blessed to have such great staff at Bethlehem, and we celebrated that last week. Thank you to all of you who donated your time and talents (including lots of good food!) during the week. Blessings to everyone as you finish this school year! Jill KoepkeSUMMER LEARNING
Students look forward to their summer vacation. As parents, are you concerned that your child may take a vacation from Reading, Writing and Arithmetic? Are you concerned that they might forget too much of what they learned during the school year? Do you think your child might benefit from some summer learning? Contact Miss Terri Price if you are interested in more information. (414/702-3261) Miss PriceHOT LUNCH
Thank you to all of you who helped serve hot lunch this past school year! We wouldn’t be able to offer hot lunch without your time and willingness to help. I appreciate you stepping up each time I called at the last minute and you said “Yes I can.” With your help we served a lot of hungry students – 4,583 lunches in Menomonee Falls and 6,026 lunches in Germantown!
PARENT TIPS
Avoid Brain Drain for your children this summer! Studies show that children’s minds should not go completely on vacation! You are the key to minimizing the loss of learning by continuing “s’more learning” this summer! Please check out our tips for staying sharp this summer at the beach, on a hike, around the campfire, in the car on a trip, or wherever you go! This way you can avoid “There’s nothing to do…” before it ever is spoken! Of course it is also the perfect time to grow in our faith and knowledge of our Savior, and use summer evenings for family devotions. Keep growing together!
