Child Care

Welcome and thank you for your interest in our Child Care Program!

Our Mission

Bethlehem Lutheran Child Care exists to serve the families of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church as well as those in its surrounding communities by providing children a nurturing environment where they can grow physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. Our center is a branch of Bethlehem Ev.Lutheran Church’s ministry, which is associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) and is centered on a common faith in Jesus Christ. Here we strive to provide a safe environment which is both educational and fun while including lessons and activities based on the Bible’s teachings of Jesus’ love for people of every age and nationality. Bethlehem Lutheran Child Care also serves Bethlehem Lutheran Elementary School and operates for children beginning at age six weeks through eighth-grade during the school year and also children ages six weeks through twelve years of age during the summer months.

Our Program

Our center offers a variety of programs based on age and development including:

  • Infants (beginning at 6 weeks of age)
  • Toddlers (children 15-months and older who are walking and taking one nap per day)
  • Two- & Three-Year-Olds
  • Potty-Trained Three-Year-Olds
  • Four-Year-Olds
  • School Age (Kindergarten through 8th Grade)

Each program includes daily devotions, thematic learning centers, socialization and language building activities, art projects, games, music and outdoor play in our secure, age-appropriate play area. We offer two daily snacks (included) as well as a full hot lunch program available for purchase. Our Summer Program includes weekly or bi-weekly field trips and in-house presentations for all preschool-aged and older children, all which are sure to spark your child’s imagination and curiosity! This Summer Program is planned around a different theme each year and is carried out through our daily devotions, art projects and activities.

Our Location & Hours

Bethlehem Lutheran Child Care is located within the Bethlehem Lutheran School building, conveniently just one-half mile south of Mequon Road off of Highway 145 and Bel Aire Lane in Germantown. Our hours of operation are 6:00am – 6:00pm, Monday through Friday.

Our Staff

Bethlehem Lutheran Child Care’s Staff is comprised of dedicated individuals who are all members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod and are certified in adult and child CPR and First Aid. Each member of our staff is trained to care for and educate your child according to the high standards our facility follows. When staffing our classrooms, we hold ourselves to ratios which we feel best serve your child, including a 1:3 teacher to child ratio in our Infant and Toddler Programs, 1:4 teacher to child ratio in our Two-Year-Old Program, and typically better than 1:10 teacher to child ratio in our preschool-age and older programs.

Our Common Ministry

Bethlehem Lutheran Childcare is a branch of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church’s ministry. Bethlehem’s ministry is centered on a common faith which enables us to worship Him who is at the center of that faith, namely Jesus Christ, and to share Him with our neighbors in the community and the world. Bethlehem Lutheran Childcare also serves the Lutheran Elementary School which Bethlehem owns and operates for children beginning at age six weeks-eighth grade during the school year and also children ages six weeks–twelve during the summer months. A secondary level of Christian education is available at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School, located south of Jackson. Kettle Moraine Lutheran is supported by over twenty-five area congregations associated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (W.E.L.S). The W.E.L.S. is a church body conducting ministry throughout the world. If you would like to learn more about our Christ centered ministry, conducted locally and globally, please call (262)251-3353 and speak with one of Bethlehem’s pastors.
